Next Toyota visit:
JAN 5, MONDAY, 11:45 A.M.
Great news: Toyota is now replacing RAV4-EV battery packs with "new-old"
batteries from 2002, prior to the Chevron lawsuit!
What is an oil company doing
with patent-squatting on Electric car batteries??
Also great news: Toyota will be making a tiny EV and
claims to be reentering the EV market in 2009!
Who knows, maybe our visibility and positive message is helping.

Make it impossible for Toyota to ignore the issue of plug-in cars.
USA NEEDS TOYOTA RAV-EV and
LIVE OIL-FREE WITH RAV-EV
TOYOTA: MOVING BACKWARDS
In 2002, Toyota sold a plug-in car. In 2008, none for sale.
Toyota's "Ask Toyota" response claims that not enough people wanted the
RAV4-EV in 2002, when Toyota ceased selling them; but that if enough had wanted to buy them, Toyota would have
produced them and sold as many as people wanted.
Well, now's the time to put them up for sale again, when
so many want a plug-in car!
Hence, it's not too expensive to produce, Toyota just needs to be convinced that people want to buy the oil-free Toyota
RAV4-EV. Let's show them that there is a positive demand for the a plug-in car like the Toyota RAV4-EV!
Toyota also claims that some of the Toyota RAV4-EV are needing new batteries; there are two or three (out of the
328 that were voluntarily sold to the public) which have weak battery packs that need replacement. But every new
car needs some maintenance after a few years, and the fact that almost ALL of the Toyota RAV4-EV are still running
even though there are NO new batteries available at any price really shows that the Toyota RAV4-EV lasts much longer
than any other car, and is much more reliable.
Plug-in cars: NOT ONE of the 12 million vehicles sold by the major auto companies this
year will be plug-in cars. We are not asking that everyone drive a plug-in car, just that they be made available
on the free market, without GM tricks and sabotage, for purchase. If you can buy
a plug-in car, the money you save by NOT buying gas more than pays for your rooftop solar system. Once again, the
fact that not everyone wants to buy a solar sysem with their gas money, or doesn't have a roof, should NOT stop
SOME people from doing so.
Why plug-in cars are so important: makes rooftop solar power
self-funding!
Driving 1000 miles per month requires 50 gallons of gas at our fleet average
of 20 mpg; but only 200 kWh of electric, about one-fourth of what a home uses for domestic electric. With gas above
$3, you avoid spending $150 per month if you can drive 1000 miles in an EV. The electric needed, 200 kWh per month
or 8 kWh per day, would take a solar system of 1.3 kW, costing $13,000 (WITHOUT rebates and tax credits, which
would lower the cost more). If you financed $13,000 in a Home Equity Loan, you could deduct the interest, and your
payments would be less than $100/month. So you'd save money, help solarize America, and own your own electric for
the money you FORMERLY spent on gas!
The only loser would be Chevron, which would sell less oil to be burned
and clog up kids lungs.
Respectfully ask Toyota to resume production of the plug-in Toyota RAV4-EV.
Signs, tables, petitions and solar cookies will be provided.

This is about the only way that we will gain the attention of the Auto Alliance.
Letters to Toyota honchos will be provided for those who want to help but are too far from the area to attend.
